Ageliki Nikolopoulou was born in Athens. She graduated from Tositsio Arsakio Ekalis with GPA ‘Excellent’ and then she enrolled in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Dental School (www.auth.gr), from which she graduated first in her class with GPA ‘Excellent’ (9).
After her graduation she received scholarship from the Foundation of Public Scholarships and from the Commonwealth Foundation Alexandros Onassis to study in the United States, where she completed her postgraduate studies in the field of Orthodontics at the New York University College of Dentistry (www.nyu.edu), receiving a Masters degree. Her thesis project was “The multistage carcinogenesis in the oral cavity,” the research work for which was performed at the Memorial Hospital of New York. During her studies she received the Gerondelis Foundation Scholarship due to excellent performance.
While completing her MA in New York, Dr. Nikolopoulou worked at the private practice of Dr. Lai, a Professor at NYU College of Dentisty, acquiring valuable clinical experience. After her return in Greece, she opened her private practice in Chalandri for the orthodontic treatment of children and adults.
